During the 16th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 16), held in Cancun, Mexico from November 29 to December 10, 2010, a series of relevant partners, led by the National Water Commission of Mexico, came together to organize the Dialogs for Water and Climate Change. The Dialogs aimed to shed a new light on the importance of water management for climate change adaptation.

Solutions on Water and Climate Change Adaptation Published
During the 6th World Water Forum the document “Water and Climate Change Adaptation in the Americas; Solutions from the Regional Policy Dialog” was launched and is now available in English and Spanish, as is its Executive Summary (English, Spanish). The regional position paper aims to highlight selected topics and innovative experiences, to show how actions on water are vital to other development issues and aims to contribute to the scaling up of these practices to confront water-related development challenges.
